Hitler cabinet
The Hitler cabinet was the government of Nazi Germany between 30 January 1933 and 30 April 1945. It started, when Adolf Hitler was made Chancellor of Germany by President Paul von Hindenburg. Hindenburg gave the order to build a new cabient to Franz von Papen. Von Papen was a national conservative politician. He reserved the post of Vice-Chancellor for himself.[1] Originally, Hitler's first cabinet was called the Reich Cabinet of National Salvation.[2] It was a coalition of the Nazi Party (NSDAP) and the national conservative German National People's Party (DNVP). The Hitler cabinet lasted until Hitler's suicide, in 1945. Hitler's cabinet was succeeded by the quickly gone Goebbels cabinet, with Karl Dönitz appointed by Hitler as the new Reichspräsident.[3] In reality, the Hitler cabinet superseeded the Weimar Republic, which had lasted 14 years at that time.
