History
Formation
The band was formed in the spring of 2015 by Seth Findley, Brooks Whitehurst, and Zach Solomon, all of whom were students at Baylor University. The men played together at a local church in Waco, Texas and decided to form a band to compete in Baylor's Battle of the Bands. After winning first place in the competition, they realized the potential success of their music. They released their first single "Play It Soulfully" in June of 2015 and spent the next six months honing their sound, writing songs, and playing shows in Waco and surrounding cities before adding Nate Wallace to the band lineup that same winter. The band then began raising capital to travel to Nashville, Tennessee in 2016 to record their debut extended play Okay Dreamer.
Okay Dreamer (2016-2017)
Okay Dreamer was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee in the summer of 2016 at Sound Emporium and Fox Den Studios. The extended play was produced by Jared Fox and Jacob Schrodt[6]. The first single from the EP, "Colors", was released in November of 2016 and the full EP was released in January of 2017. The extended play is a concept album based off of chapters from the Book of Daniel in the Bible. The songs "Colors", "Shoulders Back", and "There on the Wall" gained streaming success that spring as the band toured their music across Texas.
Honest Men (2018)
Honest Men's self-titled sophomore extended play Honest Men was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee in the summer of 2017 at Fox Den Studios and Brown Owl Studios. The extended play was produced by Jared Fox and Jacob Schrodt[7]. The three singles leading up to the May 25th, 2018 release of Honest Men included "Mad Love", "I'm Okay", and "Rose". The EP gained streaming success of over half a million streams in the first month and was placed on multiple playlists including Spotify's "Fresh Finds". Since the release, the band has headlined their new music across Texas as well as playing their first out of state shows in Nashville, Tennessee, and Asheboro, North Carolina. The extended play continues to gain traction as the men ride their current wave of success and momentum.
