Horlah Oladeji ( born 2 December 1999 ) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a Goalkeeper for Nigeria National League club ABS F.C. located in ilorin
Club career[edit]
Born in Ibadan, horlah started his career from GB Football Academy before traveling to Ghana in 2016. In September 2016 he joined Professional Football Association of Ghana FC, a side that was established for out of contract players. He was trained by Abukari Damba a former Ghanaian National Team goalkeeper and Ibrahim Tanko also an Ex International. He had a very short stint with Nsoatre FC in Nsoatre town located in the Brong Ahafo region in Ghana between November 2016 to January 2017.
In February 2017 he was invited for trials with Dunkwa United F.C. playing in the Division One League Zone 2A. After 1 training session horlah was quick to catch the attention of the Greek UEFA A License Coach Leonidas Bilis who offered horlah a 2 yeras contract.
In March 2018 horlah joined ABS F.C after impressing while on trials in the club.[1] Horlah was given the No 12 jersey in the colorful unveiling ceremony which was held at the club's sport complex in ilorin. He was an unused substitute in the teams 3 nil away lose to Mighty Jets of Jos in the Week 5 encounter.[2]
On 20 June 2019, horlah traveled to Turkey on trials with some teams. He started with some goalkeeping sessions with Serhan Arsplinar, a UEFA A LICENSED Goalkeeper Coach. In July, he was on trial with Trabzonspor where he trained with the A team, but he wasnt offered a contract because the team wasn't willing to put a young Foreign goalkeeper in the team due to Turkish rules about Foreign goalkeeper. On 20 August, he started training with Adana Demirspor in the Turkish 1.League, but unluckily the team has already exited there foreign quota in the A team and also the U21 league has been canceled by the Turkish Football Federation. Also in Turkey, he trained with Gohkan Guldag also a UEFA A LICENSED Goalkeeper Coach who has a goalkeeping Academy called Goalkeeper project located in Selimiye[disambiguation needed].
International career[edit]
He was invited to the Nigeria U20 team on September 2018 after been scouted first by the team.scout Hassan Abdallah [1]. He made the final squad for the 2018 WAFU U20 where he was the cover goalkeeper to Oremade Olawale. The team won Silver after loosing to Senegal in the finals.[3][2]
He was part of the team from March 31, 2019 - April 30, 2019 during the preparation for the 2019 World Youth Championship that was held in Poland. Unfortunately he was dropped from the team that went for 2weeks camp in Germany before the tournament proper after sustaining a style in the eyes during one of the friendly games.
