House of secrets is a Danish Hard rock band from Djursland. The band was formed by Jes, Brian Ove Hansen, Lasse Pedersen and Morten Hougaard in 2007, through the next 5 years the band wrote several songs, which they played at various local gigs. On 25 May 2012 the band parted ways with founding father and lead singer Jes. Following the departure of Jes, Pedersen and Hougaard started doing the band's vocals. On 8 November 2013 a post on the bands official facebook-page caused quite an uproar as it stated that the band cancelled a studio-session due to 'unforeseen circumstances' however, the band quickly made it clear that there weren't any internal problems between the band members. Vocalist Rasmus Kamelarczyk had his first official appearance on 'You oughta know' released on 3 July 2014, effectively ending Padersen and Hougaards time as vocalists of the band. In 2015 the band took part in the Danish musical talent development competition known as 'Karrierekanonen', in December of the same year the band also took part in 'tak rock', a talent competition hosted by danish beer company, 'royalbeer', where there song 'brand new day' quickly became the hottest song there, a position which it held for almost a month. In 2016 the band released it's first single 'No turning back', followed by 'EP', the bands first EP, released later the same year. In 2017 the band won the 'Von Hatten pris', an award hosted by the 'Von Hatten'-bar in Randers. Following their performance at the 'Von Hatten pris' the band was announced as a contender for the 'tak rock band of the year', along with 33 other Danish bands. In September 2019 the band announced that Danish metal-producer Tue Madsen would be mixing and mastering their first album 'Keyhole' set for release in the fall of 2020. Due to the 2020 coronavirus outbreak the release of 'Keyhole' had to be postponed to September 2020, where the band were to host a release party in Ebeltoft. In anticipation of the release of 'Keyhole' the band released the three singles 'Stuck', 'Enslaved' and 'Remember'. Three days before their release party for 'Keyhole' the band had to cancel, due to drummer Morten Hougaard falling down a staircase leading to him getting a concussion, the album would however still be released as planned, on September 4 2020.
