Howie McCann
Howard "Howie" McCann (born 1956) is the former head coach of the Marshall Thundering Herd baseball team from 1990-1995. McCann played college ball at Mississippi State University in 1977 and '78 and roomed with famed Major League right-hander and national broadcaster Jack Lazorko. McCann was drafted by The Minnesota Twins in the 8th round in 1974. McCann played one year in the minors. He played for the Auburn Sunsets of the New York-Penn League in 1978.
McCann's son, Brian, is a professional baseball player.[1]
