Human Appeal Australia HAA[3] is an Australian Charitable, humanitarian and non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 1991 in Sydney which works in the areas of social and educational development, health care and emergency relief.[4]

The organization believes that having stable health care, education and income generation programmes are important for sustainable communities.[promotion?] They aim to work with other organizations in emergency relief and long term development. HAI holds consultative status (Category II) in the United Nations Social and Economic Council, is an observer in the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and is a member of the International Council for Voluntary Associations (ICVA). HAI worked with the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for the Palestinian Refugees, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and has reached several memorandums of understanding with UNICEF and the AGFUND.[citation needed]
