Hushar Namdev Magade (born August 17, 1993) is an Indian Ambedkarite social activist, Bahujan leader, and grassroots political organizer based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is known for his work in slum redevelopment rights, youth empowerment, and constitutional awareness movements in the Ghatkopar area of Mumbai. He currently serves as the District General Secretary of the North East Mumbai Congress Committee and is the President of Yuva Sankalp Pratishthan Maharashtra State.
Early Life and Education
Hushar Magade was born on August 17, 1993, in Ghatkopar, Mumbai. He completed his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with a focus on political science and sociology. Inspired by the teachings of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Mahatma Phule, and other Bahujan icons, he became actively involved in social work and youth leadership from an early age.
Career and Activism
Magade has been deeply involved in organizing and leading local and regional initiatives for housing rights, slum rehabilitation, and educational awareness. He is widely recognized in the Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar and surrounding areas (Nalanda Nagar, Kamraj Nagar, Netaji Nagar) for coordinating public events and protests demanding better facilities, transparency in development, and fundamental rights for marginalized communities.
He has played a lead role in organizing the Shiv Jayanti Mahotsav Samiti and Bahujan Mahapurush Utsav Samiti in Ramabai Nagar and neighboring settlements. His speeches often center on social justice, constitutional values, and Ambedkarite ideology.
