iA Private Wealth Inc. (French: iA Gestion privée de patrimoine[2]) is a full-service investment advisory firm based in Montreal, Canada. The firm offers financial services related to planning, investments, credit and lending, accounts and insurance.[3] Its parent company is iA Financial Group.
iA Private Wealth operates on the independent model, whereby advisor teams are owner-operators of their own advisory practice and retain a percentage of revenues generated. The firm's advisor network has a presence across Canada and consists of over 500 Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager teams.[4]
History[edit]
In 2002, Groupe Financier Concorde, ISL-Lafferty Securities and certain assets of BNP (Canada) Securities[5] were acquired by iA Financial Group and brought together to form the full-service securities brokerage and wealth advisory firm IA Securities Inc. (iA Securities).
In 2017, iA Financial Group acquired HollisWealth from Scotiabank and merged its Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada-regulated arm with iA Securities and its Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada-regulated arm with Investia Financial Services Inc.[6] Post-merger, HollisWealth advisor teams continued to use the HollisWealth brand.
In 2021, iA Financial Group launched iA Private Wealth as a new brand and corporate identity for its Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada business, replacing iA Securities and HollisWealth.[7]
