IFLAC (The International Forum for the Literature and Culture of Peace) is a registered non-governmental organization founded in Haifa, Israel in 1999 by peace researcher, poet and writer Ada Aharoni. Aharoni serves as the IFLAC World President. Vice President is physician and poet Ernesto Kahan, former Vice President of the Nobel Peace Price-winning IPPNW (International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War).

The goal of IFLAC is to build "bridges of understanding and peace through culture, literature and communication." IFLAC Directors and Peace Ambassadors are appointed in some 20 countries. Among its achievements are eight global congresses on the Culture of Peace, an online magazine, Horizon (1997–2002), and children's poetry contests. The most recent contest is the IFLAC Children's Peace Train Poetry Festival 2014. IFLAC also has a radio station.

In her article The Importance of NGO's for Peace Culture,[1] writer and poet Celine Leduc examines four Israeli peace groups. She writes that "IFLAC's methodology – highlighting the best that each culture has to offer – is grounded in the belief that individual ethnic groups and communities can learn to live side by side and to tolerate each other’s differences if they learn to appreciate one another’s religion, culture and literature."

IFLAC was one of the contributing organizations in the UN International Decade for the Promotion of a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World (2001–2010), under the domain of action called Understanding, tolerance and solidarity.[2]

IFLAC Founder Aharoni is an Honorary Editor for the UNESCO EOLSS Encyclopedia (2004–2005), responsible for the section on Peace, Literature, and Art.[3] Her research on Peace Culture Required for Sustainable Global Development[4] was published in the UNESCO Encyclopedia of Life Support Systems: "Our Fragile World: Challenges and Opportunities for Sustainable Development." Also included was IFLAC South American Director María Cristina Azcona's articles Peace Education through Literature[5] and Importance of a Literature and a Culture of Peace.[6]
