INVNT Group is an American holding company headquartered in New York City.[1] It was founded by Scott Cullather and Kristina McCoobery in 2020.[1][2][3] INVNT Group encompasses several subsidiaries, including the brand strategy firm Folk Hero, the digital marketing agency Hevé, the collegiate events agency INVNT Higher Education, the digital and Web3 innovation division INVNT.ATOM, the production services division ITP Live, the culture consultancy Meaning, and the brand communications agency INVNT.[2][4][5]

History[edit]

INVNT Group's predecessor company INVNT was founded by the husband-and-wife team of Scott Cullather and Kristina McCoobery in 2008.[6]

In 2012, Paul Blurton joined as Chief Creative Officer of INVNT GROUP.[7]

INVNT was acquired by Time, Inc in 2015.[8]

INVNT separated from its parent company, Time, Inc, after Cullather and McCoobery reached an agreement to buy the company back in 2017.[8] In the same year, INVNT established offices in Sydney, Australia.[9]

In 2020, Cullather and McCoobery founded INVNT Group, retaining the INVNT brand as a subsidiary.[2] Cullather assumed the office of INVNT Group's President and CEO while McCoobery was appointed CEO of INVNT and COO of INVNT Group.[3] The company also appointed Scott Kerr as chief sales officer to lead its global business development team.[10] In addition, INVNT Group acquired the brand strategy firm Folk Hero in 2020.[11] At Dubai's Expo 2020, INVNT Group partnered with PepsiCo to design three educational pavilions for the event.[12]

INVNT Group partnered with activist Opal Lee to advocate for legislation making Juneteenth a federal holiday, which was eventually signed into law on June 17, 2021.[2][13]

In 2022, INVNT's Asia-Pacific branch partnered with the non-profit organization The Grok Academy to create Cyber Live, an educational experience simulating a cyber attack, at the Maritime Museum in Sydney.[14] In the same year, INVNT Group formed ITP Live, a division focused on integrated production services.[5]

In 2022, INVNT GROUP, in partnership with Steve Aoki, Krista Kim, and RM Sotheby's, sold the last Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupé ever produced with a 1 of 1 twin NFT, for over $1.6 Million ($1,603,125).[15][16][17]This campaign won in the Metaverse category at the Drum Awards for Marketing APAC 2023.[18]

In addition to its offices in New York and Sydney, INVNT Group also has offices in Singapore, London, San Francisco, Detroit, Washington, D.C., Dubai, India, and Stockholm.[19][20]
