The seventh-generation iPad Pro, colloquially known as the M3 iPad Pro, is an upcoming product in the iPad tablet computer line made by Apple Inc. which will be released sometime in April 2024, skipping the 2023 release. The product will ship with iPadOS 17, succeeding the iPad Pro (6th generation).

Design

Display

The seventh-generation iPad Pro will come in 11" (27.94 cm) and 12.9" (32.77 cm) sized displays. However, rumors have suggested an iPad Pro with a larger display. The new 14.1" (36 cm) display was planned to release in early 2023, but it was cancelled in December 2022. The large 14-inch iPad Pro was planned to have mini LEDs and ProMotion, but in June 2022, Ross Young stated that the 14-inch display would have a LCD screen instead of mini LED. Unfortunately, the 14.1-inch display did not release in early 2023.[1] Many rumors confirmed in 2024 a new 14" (35.56 cm) model alongside the 11" or 12.9" models, or replacing one of the options.[2]

Second Thunderbolt port

The new 14-inch iPad Pro would have 2 Thunderbolt ports (one for each 6K monitor).[3]

Specifications

Chipset

The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros will have an Apple M3 system on a chip, and the 14-inch iPad Pro would have an Apple M2 Pro or M3 Pro system on a chip.

The seventh-generation iPad Pro will keep the same price tags as last year with iPad Pro (6th generation). The hypothetical prices for the seventh-generation iPad Pro are listed below:

Software

The seventh-generation iPad Pro will be shipped with iPadOS 17, and the 14-inch iPad Pro would have a "special version of iPadOS".[2][3]
