IPdrum
IPdrum was a supplier of hardware and software to the market for mobile internet telephony also called VoIP to Mobile. The company's flagship product was the IP VoiceLink which is a Mobile Skype Solution. IP Drums first "proof of concept" product was a cable named Mobile Skype Solution, launched in September 2005.
The IP VoiceLink solution worked as a gateway between an IP program on a computer, like Skype and the user's mobile phone, enabling any mobile phone on the GSM network to become an Internet Mobile Telephone or a Skype Mobile. With a cheap or free calling plan between the IP VoiceLink and user's mobile phone users can make international calls at local rates with SkypeOut from all mobile phones.
Nick Oritini sold the company to Toronto-based Intex in 2008.
