Ian Michael Grabiner (born May 1959) is a British businessman, chief executive officer (CEO) of Arcadia Group since October 2009, and has been its chief operating officer (COO) since 2002.[1][2]

Early life

Ian Michael Grabiner was born in May 1959.[3]

He is the first cousin of Lord Grabiner QC, the barrister, academic administrator, and life peer, who served as Arcadia's non-executive chairman from October 2002 to December 2015.[4][3]

Career

Grabiner began his career at Littlewoods in 1977 as a trainee manager, working there until 1983.[5][6] He met his future wife while employed at River Island.[5]

Prior to joining Arcadia, Grabiner managed the distribution and call center units for the retail group GUS, and previously worked for Sports Division and What Everyone Wants.[1]

In the 2009 Sunday Times Rich List, his estimated net worth was £48 million, down £5 million from 2008.[7]

Personal life

Grabiner is married to Tracy, and they have three daughters.[5][8] They maintain homes in both London and Glasgow.[6] The couple are patrons of the United Jewish Israel Appeal.[9]
