Politics[edit]

Kankarofi, after his resignation from Civil Service as Permanent Secretary Special Service he join Kano State Gubernatorial race[1] under the platform of All Nigerian People Party ANPP in 2010, which later merge to All Progressive Congress APC. They were re-elected on 27 April 2011 and sworn in on 29 May 2011 for a second term in office.

Kankarofi, was initially appointed as Special Adviser, Governmental Affairs[2], after seeing his performance His Excellence Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje sack his former Principal Private Secretary Usman Bala and Appoint Kankarofi[3] on the 28th of May 2016
