Tre Floyd Tademy[3] (born February 28, 1992), known professionally as IceTre is an American rapper, actor, and author from Pocatello, Idaho. He is most notable for his song No Worries[4] featuring Grammy nominated producer, Mike Zombie. On March 28, 2024,[5] Tademy became the first Idaho musician to release over 3 albums[6] on a major independent record label, EMPIRE.
On March 28th, 2024,[7] Tademy and west-coast producer, Doom Bap,[8] released their collaborative album, "Walking On Water"[9] after a 2-year hiatus. The album was initially announced on October 8th, 2022[10] but was temporarily shelved. In the same year, Tademy released his genre-crossing album, "Paradise".[11] The album is comprised of House, Electronic Dance Music, and Garage Funk. Both albums were released through EMPIRE and Blazington Music Group.[12]
Early life[edit]
Tademy was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho. Him and his cousins were raised in a 4-bedroom house, located in the historic 900 Block on the east-side of town. Tademy was largely influenced by hip-hop at an early age.[13] Some of his musical influences are 2pac, Nas, Lil Wayne[14] and DMX. Tademy's early interest in music when he was a child pushed him to record and create his own music on electronic keyboards when he was in grade school.
His career was greatly encouraged by his peers and surrounding family.[15] As he grew older, Tademy began creating demos with minimal recording experience and started to take an interest in producing music with a more serious tone.[16] While building a reputation for himself, Tademy influenced not only his family but others to begin creating music as well.
Career[edit]
2003: Career Beginnings and Debut Album: "Frozen"[edit]
Tademy would begin practicing and recording music in 2003 while he was at Bonneville Elementary School. He started taking it seriously when his music started picking up traction in 2004.[17] His music has often been described as a combination of smooth lyrics and melodic beats.
In 2005, when Tademy was in 8th grade,[18] he debuted his hip-hop album, Frozen.[19] The releases were labeled as "special edition", with the album being released in physical formats such as CD-R and cassette tape.
2006-2010: High School Era[edit]
Tademy started releasing multiple songs after the success of his debut album. From 2006-2010, Tademy released over 400 songs and over 12 mixtapes.[20] Much of Tademy's music during this time is only available via CD-R and cassette tape. His musical efforts were recognized and highly praised by his peers and the staff at Pocatello High School. Tademy was ranked #1 in the 2009 Regional Talent Show after performing an electric musical set featuring him and other local musicians.
2013: EMPIRE and Universal Music Group[edit]
Interest in Tademy’s music reached record level highs in 2013.[21] A 85/15 distribution deal was offered to Tademy after he caught the attention of an A&R from EMPIRE Distribution In 2014. Tademy formed his own record label, Blazington Music Group[22] which then became integrated into EMPIRE. They would handle all releases while Blazington Music Group was to handle promotion. Tademy received major label backing when EMPIRE signed a partnership in 2018 with major label Universal Music Group.
The partnership[23] effectively combined Blazington Music Group into EMPIRE and Universal Music Group. In the partnership, Tademy was able to secure ties from not only Universal Music Group and EMPIRE but from Universal Music Publishing Group[24] as well. This allowed Tademy and other artists registered and established under Blazington Music Group[25] to receive support on select projects that would benefit from major label backing, along with unique approaches to distribution, digital sales, promotion and marketing.
Since 2014, Tademy released 5 albums and multiple singles through Blazington Music Group and EMPIRE. This includes "Pisces Gold 2.0",[26] "28",[27] "STT5",[28] "Walking On Water",[29] and "Paradise."[30] There has been controversy over whether or not Tademy's releases were in fact released through EMPIRE since it is considered a major record label but Blazington Music Group acts as the pipeline between Tademy and the record label. EMPIRE would own the rights and maintain that it is their property since it was released underneath Blazington Music Group[31] and Blazington Music Group is underneath EMPIRE. This makes all 5 of his albums,[32] including singles, official releases on a major record label which would be EMPIRE. With Tademy's releases being products of Blazington Music Group, EMPIRE would ultimately own the product and it is considered their property.
For example:
- "Doggystyle is the debut studio album by American rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg. It was released on November 23, 1993, by Death Row and Interscope Records."
- At the time Death Row had only released one album and that was by Dr. Dre. Death Row was not considered a major record label at the time but Doggystyle being released under Interscope made it an official release on a major record label. In addition to that, "Earlier in 1992, Interscope negotiated a $10-million deal with Dr. Dre and Marion "Suge" Knight to finance and distribute their label, Death Row Records." This type of formula was recognized in 2014 by Tademy as Blazington Music Group became integrated into EMPIRE under a distribution deal and since Blazington Music Group is a subsidiary of EMPIRE, the conditions of the deal was that EMPIRE handled all releases while Blazington Music Group handled all promotional values. When Snoop Doggy Dogg's album's was released through Death Row and Interscope, Death Row simply acted as the pipeline between Snoop Doggy Dogg and the major record label, Interscope. Interscope would own the rights and maintain it is their property since it was released underneath Death Row and Death Row is underneath Interscope. This makes Snoop Doggy Dogg’s debut album an official release on a major record label which in that case would ultimately fall under Interscope. By applying the same formula, Tademy's albums "Pisces Gold 2.0", "28", "STT5", "Walking On Water", and "Paradise" were equally released on a major record label as well.
2014-2019: King of Idaho Era[edit]
During this time, Tademy was regarded as the King of Idaho due to his high rank and stature.[33]
Tademy's journey and legacy became well known throughout Idaho as he was the first to create the Idaho Rap Scene and further became the highest contender. Tademy further expanded his reach with live performances[34] with artists such as Kirko Bangz, T-Pain, and Kid Ink ranging from Boise, Idaho to Salt Lake City, Utah. Other artists include Bone Thugs N' Harmony, IAMSU, and more.
On September 24, 2015,[36] Tademy became the first Idaho rapper to collaborate with a major label artist, Grammy Nominated and platinum recording artist Mike Zombie with their single, "No Worries."[37] The collaboration went viral, pushing it to #28 on the Top 100 Chart in Idaho, which gave Tademy's musical career a tremendous boost in popularity. During the King of Idaho Era, Tademy released two albums, "Pisces Gold 2.0"[38] and "28."[39]
Tademy executively produced both albums[40] and released "Pisces Gold 2.0" on March 11th, 2017[41] and "28" on October 11th, 2019.[42] The album "28" featured the viral singles, "House Party"[43] and "Trophy."[44] Both songs features Miscellaneous and the latter features Sony Music musician, Vinny Chase.
2020-2023: The Source Magazine and Radio Breakthrough[edit]
The Source Magazine featured Tademy's music video "Whoa" in a 2020 article.[45] The staff wrote:
"His single “Whoa”[46] is a powerhouse assisted record worth a listen. In the video, IceTre sets the tone with his signature flow blended into a head-knodding rhythm accompanied by a Matrix-styled theme of deep and dark colors. He not only has his eyes on the prize but his heavily focused lyrics take it to it’s full peak."
They further wrote:
"IceTre is widely known for having some of America’s most progressive music as well as possessing an art form that fosters creative expression. Since releasing his debut project back in 2014, IceTre has made powerful strides musically and culturally by putting on for his city and the state of Idaho. For all of the creative accomplishments made, he is a standout artist among many."

The song "Don't Blame It On Me[50]" which features the duo was aired the same day on December 13th, 2022.

On April 20th 2023, Tademy was voted #13 on the "Hottest Artists to Watch in 2023" list by the popular California newspaper, LAWeekly.[54]
"One of the most promising talents of 2023 is rising star IceTre. He first gained recognition for his single, “No Worries”[55] with Grammy nominated and multi-platinum OVO sound producer Mike Zombie. IceTre’s music is captivating and refreshing, with a sound that is both authentic and innovative." - LAWEEKLY

Movie Era: Medicine, Baller Dreams, Whoa:[edit]
Tademy started directing and co-producing projects in 2020. He assisted with projects such as "Baller Dreams",[58] which he co-produced. He was executive producer for "Keep It 100", and was the main producer for the music video "Whoa."[59] He also plays the lead character "Leon" for the thriller movie "Medicine."[60] Tademy is also helping compose the soundtrack for the movie.
The movie's plot[61] is centered around a father's mental anguish when his son goes missing. After months of dealing with alcoholism, the father develops severe psychosis. Refusing to believe his son is missing, the father's mind creates an illusion of his lost son. Everything he is turned upside when his son finds his way back to him. He doesn't know which one is real and which one isn't.[62]
