Igor Goldenberg (Russian: Игорь Гольденберг, born 7 October 1977) is a technology entrepreneur who is the co-founder of several technology companies, most importantly WiFi Map. Igor was previously founder and CEO of Kenlo Group, a market leader in mobile development building award-winning custom applications. He is also known as a growth hacker for mobile apps by creating a sustainable and profitable growth strategy and increasing conversions without spending money on traditional marketing tactics.[1][2][3][4]

Early life and education

Born in Donetsk, Ukrainian SSR.

From early childhood, Igor liked computers; in the 3rd grade, he developed his first program in assembly language on a ZX-Spectrum computer.

At the age of 15, Igor moved to Israel as a student via the Naale program to study and complete his high school education.

Career

In 1997–1998, Igor worked as a software engineer for LoadRunner. This is a product by Hewlett-Packard (since it acquired Mercury Interactive in November 2006).

In 1998–2000, he worked as a software engineer at CA Technologies.

In 2000, Igor joined an Israeli startup GigaSpaces as a core developer of distributed computing technology and was a true pioneer developing cloud computing before it became popular.

In 2008, Igor founded Kenlo Group, a mobile development company with offices in Israel and New York building award-winning custom iOS and Android apps.

In 2012–2014, Igor was a lecturer at MATI - Business Development Center in Israel.

In 2015, Igor moved to the United States with his wife and two children. He received a green card on a genius visa.

Also, he dedicates his free time to teaching an entrepreneurship class to students at Tel Aviv University.

WiFi Map

Igor Goldenberg founded a crowdsourced project WiFi Map, together with Denis Sklyarov, Dzmitry Plashchynski, and Kirill Kudin. WiFi Map is a mobile app with over 150 million users around the world where people share Wi-Fi information for public places. In November 2017, CNN included the WiFi Map app in the top 15 best travel apps.[5][6][7]
