Ike Hajinazarian is an American Democratic politician who is serving as White House Regional Communications Director.[2]

Life and education[edit]

Hajinazarian was born in Columbus, Ohio to Lebanese-Armenian immigrant parents. He attended Indiana University Bloomington and received his Bachelor in Journalism in 2016. After that he received his Master of Political Management in The George Washington University. As he progressed in his graduate studies, he landed a position as press intern for the U.S. House of Representatives under Representative Mike Quigley, which led him to later become a Press Assistant for the U.S. Senate under Senator Joe Donnelly. Then, in January 2019, he returned to the U.S. House of Representatives as Deputy Press Secretary. After half a year in that position, he joined the Biden-Harris campaign in July 2019.[3]

Political career[edit]

Hajinazarian served as the Western Pennsylvania Regional Press Secretary for the Biden 2020 presidential campaign. Already he was working on the Biden campaign in communications roles during the primary and general elections in New Hampshire, Nevada, Texas, Ohio, and other states. Prior to joining the campaign, he worked on Capitol Hill, first as Press Assistant to Senator Joe Donnelly of Indiana, and later as the Deputy Press Secretary on the House Homeland Security Committee’s Majority Staff.[4]
