Siti Nur Iman Alyssa Sahabudin or better known as Iman Troye (born 25 December 2002) is a Malaysian singer, model, media personality and instafamous who originates from Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang, Selangor.[1][2]

Her first debut single, "Teman" ("Friends") has a total of 12 million views on YouTube through her music videos and her songs have been streamed by 1.5 million via Spotify. She was a participant in the singing reality show, I Can See Your Voice Malaysia (season 2) that broadcasted on TV3 in 2019.[3][2]

Career

Iman Troye started her early career as a part-time model for the local muslimah clothing brand, Leeyanarahman.[1] Moreover, she also uploaded her cover songs on her social media.[1] Her singing talent allows her to be nicknamed as 'Nabila Razali 2.0' because of her vocals that are almost similar to Nabila.[4] She was also one of the participants in the singing show reality broadcast, I Can See Your Voice Malaysia (season 2) by Malaysian television broadcaster, TV3.

She released her first debut single, "Teman" ("Friends") on 25 September 2020.[5]Her song managed to set aside Harith Zazman's song "Cute" with MFMF and Loca B, "Penat" ("Tired") by Andi Bernadee and duet song "Terlanjur Cinta" ("Forward Love") by Hael Husaini and Indonesian singer, Cakra Khan as one of the most streamed songs in early October 2020.[1][2]

Personal life

Iman Troye is a former student of Bandar Tasik Puteri National High school.[1] She became known by her nickname, 'Iman Troy' since she was 14 years old.[1] She has a total of 985,000 followers on her Instagram.[2] She revealed in an interview with Astro Gempak that she was once abandoned by her lover and determined to get married when she reaches 30 years old later.[6]

She once received a surprise from her idol singer, Siti Sarah who came to her school just to give words of encouragement when she sat for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination in 2019.[1][7]

Controversy

She once caused controversy in May 2020 because of her actions lying on a tree around the River of Life area owned by the Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) while successfully filming Leeyanarahman's muslimah fashion brand.[8][9] Her actions caused many criticisms from netizen who described her as vandalism and she reportedly apologized for her actions.[10]
