Impetus Technologies is a privately held product development, software services and solutions company. Founded in 1991 by Praveen Kankariya, Impetus is headquartered in Los Gatos, California with development centers in NOIDA, Indore, Gurgaon, and Bengaluru, India.[citation needed]

History[edit]

The company was founded by Praveen Kankariya in Indore, India, to develop software products and offer product design and development services.[2]

The first product developed by Impetus was for the newspaper industry. The product automated the news acquisition process from various wire services. This product was deployed at more than 200 publication houses across India.[3]

Business[edit]

The core focus of the company is on software product development and technology R&D services. Impetus provides offerings in software architecture and design, development, test engineering, performance engineering, sustenance and support.

Impetus works in domains including mobile and wireless, digital media, performance marketing, internet advertising, network security, telecom, finance, healthcare, supply chain management, CRM, and collaboration management.The company is also focused on emerging technologies in mobility, Big Data, SaaS, cloud computing, social media, product testing, and performance engineering.
