India's Most Reputed Brands is an annual research on the reputation of brands based on perceptions of consumers and media. The study is published by BlueBytes News, a media analytics and reputation measurement company, in association with TRA Research, a brand insights firm, and also the publisher of The Brand Trust Report and India's Most Attractive Brands. Both companies are part of the Comniscient Group.
Reputation, which can be thought of as a shorthand for quality, is based on the attitude of respect exuded by the brand—revealed in terms of appropriate regard of 'value'. Bluebytes has defined Reputation as a measure of the effectiveness of transmitted belief about attitudes showcasing respect. Thus, in measuring Reputation, both aspects have to be considered: the attitudes of respect as understood by the stakeholders and the media's conveyance and transmission of the brand's respect.

India's Most Reputed Aviation Brands - 2016
For aviation industry players in India, the sky is both the literal and metaphorical playground for their brands. In an industry where most players provide very similar services and the differentiation is barely visible, having a good reputation is an essential part of the branding story.
Within the aviation industry, 21 airline brands with measurable media coverage were selected for the study. Bluebytes tracked these brands' news in all major English and Hindi print media (newspapers and magazines) across 9 cities as a representative sample of the news across all publications. More than 30,000 articles related to different aviation brands were captured in the period between June 15, 2015, and June 16, 2016. These articles were assessed for the visibility and tonality of the aviation brand to produce a Perception Score. Further, the partner, TRA Research, conducted a primary survey on understanding consumer-influencer perceptions of the brands' attitude of respect through their proprietary matrix to produce a Respect Score. The multiplication of these two scores gave the Bluebytes Brand Rep Score used for analyzing these brands.
When it comes to flying high in reputation in Indian aviation, the national carrier Air India [4] ranks first. SpiceJet is the most reputed among domestic private airlines in India, followed by Jet Airways[5], with a 34% lower Brand Rep Score. Indigo Airlines trails Jet Airways with a Brand Rep Score 9% lower. In the international private airlines segment, Singapore Airlines leads, followed by Etihad with a Brand Rep Score 19% below the category leader. Emirates' Brand Rep Score was 27% lower than Etihad's. [6]
India's Most Reputed Pharmaceutical Brands - 2016
Back in the 1940s, commercial production of penicillin, and consequently its availability, were severely limited. Sir Alexander Fleming envisioned a time when penicillin would be easily available to the masses, but worried about its proper usage that could endanger human lives.
We have come a long way since the discovery and commercial production of penicillin—the world's first miracle drug. In just seven decades, mass production of life-saving drugs has become a reality and has already contributed to saving millions of lives. India played a very important role in this, earning the title of "Pharmacy of the World".
However, the present reputation of the Indian pharmaceutical industry is at a very vulnerable state—a single negative media story can seriously affect the brand and the industry in many ways. The tarnishing of reputation has severe repercussions, especially in the pharmaceutical industry as millions worldwide depend on Indian drugs.
"India's Most Reputed Pharmaceutical Brands - 2016" is a unique study that allows pharmaceutical brands to measure their reputation based on the perceptions of consumer-influencers and the media. [8] 51.6% behind the first-ranked is Sun Pharma[9], taking second place as the most reputed brand. [10] Cipla,[11] one of the oldest Indian pharmaceutical companies, is ranked third with a 28.3% lower Brand Rep Score (BRS) than the previous one. Hyderabad-based Dr. Reddy's Laboratories was ranked fourth in this list. UK-based GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) was ranked the most reputed among international brands and fifth overall.
