India Adlis Everett (born July 15, 1992)[1] is an American actress and fashion model. She was an award winning TV journalist before taking to the entertainment industry. [2]

Early life and Education[edit]

Everett was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. She attended high school at Vashon Island High School[3] where she wrote for the high school paper, The Riptide,[4] and was the captain of the varsity volleyball team [5][6] she then studied broadcast journalism at the University of Missouri.[7]

Career[edit]

India Everett was the lead anchor and producer for the Fox 47 TV show, FOX in The Morning in Rochester, Minnesota in 2014, [8] she took the role after winning the Missouri Communicator of The Year award in 2012 [9] for her work as a reporter and anchor at KOMU-TV.

Upon leaving the TV news industry, she modeled for Zulily then subsequently signed a contract with BMG Models and Talent[10] before beginning acting and notably appearing in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood[11] and then on the covers of Steppin' Out (magazine)[12] and Millennium Magazine[13] as well as features in men's magazines Maxim (magazine)[14][15] and Esquire (magazine).[16]

Everett has also been an outspoken advocate for women's rights in the film and television industry. Her live TV interview on NewsMax December 27th, 2019 discussed her insights into the 2020 award season nominees and the leaps and bounds women are making in the industry, "Twenty twenty will be an even better year for women in film," she told the hosts.[17]

Other Ventures[edit]

India Everett currently continues to act, model, and write; she has submitted at least one feature length screenplay to the Writers Guild of America[18] and plans to continue working on all three ventures, "being in major films and working alongside extremely talented A-list actors and actresses has been the biggest dream come true I never knew I had. It’s a pretty surreal experience to work on a major project and see the final project come to life."[19]
