The Indian Institute of Fashion and Design (IIFD) was founded in year 2004 in Chandigarh, India to facilitate students with quality education in the field of fashion design, interior design and textile design. With the 18 years of excellence in the education IIFD prepares the students for professional excellence through rigorous, adaptable academic programs in the field of design and business. The Institute has shown a significant growth of budding designers by next level of experts and professional staff and resourceful campus where students can explore their hidden talent, skills and grow as a professional.

The institute is situated in the heart of city beautiful i.e. Chandigarh with a vision to become globally recognized as an educational institution where students cross traditional disciplinary boundaries to explore their career. With a great contribution to the Indian Fashion Industry by organizing social, public events and exhibitions, fashion weeks makes this institute co-operated with the vision of Fashion Design Council of India.

Learning Center (Campus)[edit]

Till January 2022 the institution is having two design campuses one in the city beautiful Chandigarh and other state of the art design specific campus in Mohali, Punjab. High tech campus is full of world class facilities, resources like library, magazines, labs, instruments which makes a practical learning environment at the center "IIFD Indian Institute of Fashion &Design".   • The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is an organisation in India. FDCI is a non-profit[1] independent association of fashion designers formed to propagate the Business of Fashion in India in December 1998.
  • IIFD have attained academic education membership with IIID situated in Mumbai India, IIFD is also education partner for ELIA, ELIA is an empowering force within higher art education having 260 members in 48 country, all across art disciplines, having it's head office Amsterdam, The Netherlands. To help students attain industry associations Indian Institute Of Fashion & Design have become member with Association of Designers of India (ADI).

IIFD Annual Events and Fashion Shows[edit]

Throughout the year students undergoes various events exhibitions, industrial visits and event celebrations at campus. Through these activities a professional personal is developed with in student additionally providing personality classes with various events and exhibition by reputed brands and industries. At annual fashion show students displays their collections, work that they developed throughout the year.
