Indian Link is a monthly newspaper published in Australia. First published in 1994,[1] the publication has received numerous New South Wales Premier's Multicultural Media Awards[2][3][4], New South Wales Multicultural and Indigenous Media Awards,[5] and a Mumbrella Publish Award nomination.[6] The newspaper, available in print and online, forms one part of the Indian Link Media Group,[7] which also has a Radio component.[8]
Overview
Indian Link covers issues affecting the Indian diaspora in Australia, including both Australian politics and Indian Politics.[8] It also includes matrimonial and tarot sections in addition to film reviews and opinion pieces.[9][10] In 2012, the Circulation Audit Board (as part of the Audited Media Association of Australia) considered Indian Link a leader in Australia's community media market.[8] Its radio counterpart, Indian Link Radio,[11] is one of two Australia-based Hindi radio stations that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.[8]
In 2016, Indian Link had amassed 160,000 monthly print readers; their radio component Indian Link Radio and official website received 20,000 listeners and 10,000 users per month respectively.[12]
