Background and founding
IndusGuru was founded by Deepak Malkani and Shanu Malkani to create a platform that made it easier for businesses to get independent consulting expertise.[2]
Deepak Malkani, an alumnus of Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai, completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics (1988–1992) and pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from IIM Calcutta, specializing in Operations and Systems. He has held senior leadership roles in consulting firms such as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Accenture, where he was responsible for management consulting, business strategy, and digital business transformation. At PwC, he led the Management Consulting and Digital Business Transformation practices, covering operations, customer experience, finance, and workforce strategies across multiple industries. He also served as the Managing Partner of APAC Resources Management Consulting at Accenture, expanding the firm’s consulting practice in key markets such as ASEAN, Singapore, China, Japan, Korea, and Australia.[3][4]
Shanu Malkani, a graduate of Thadomal Shahani Engineering College, earned her Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics (1992–1996). With expertise in enterprise software solutions, customer service, and IT consulting, she has worked extensively in SAP application support and business transformation. She has led customer service operations at Siemens Information Systems Ltd as the Customer Service Organisation (CSO) Head for India, managing over 25 clients across the Asia-Pacific region. Her role involved overseeing SAP support for more than 4,000 users, covering multiple ERP modules. She has also held managerial roles at Accenture and Blue Ocean Systems Infotech Pvt. Ltd., contributing significantly to enterprise consulting and IT service delivery.[5][6]
