The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) [1] is a public-private partnership between the European Union and the European life science industries. The partners of IHI are the European Union, represented by the European Commission, and the industry associations COCIR, EFPIA, Vaccines Europe, EuropaBio and MedTech Europe. Launched in January 2022, IHI is the successor to the Innovative Medicines Initiative.

IHI funds health research, with self-selecting consortia consisting of industry partners, universities, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), patients, regulators and others working on projects related to disease prevention, diagnostics, treatments, and disease management.
