Mauro Gastón Bono (El Tío, June 17th, 1971) is an Argentinian businessman, founder and president of VIRIXENE, pharmaceutical group dedicated to the development, manufacture and commercialization of medicines, formed by the pharmaceutical companies SAVANT and VIVUNT.

In 1990, he began his academic career at IPET N22, graduating as Chemistry Technician in 1989. He joined the School of Chemical Sciences of the Catholic University of Córdoba (UCC) and graduated in 1993 as pharmacist. In 2004, he completed an MBA at ICDA.

He has been co-founder of several non-for profit foundations: Fundación Córdoba Mejora, Fundación Comunidad Empresaria, president of UVITEC, vice-president of CACEC, Appointed Advisor in Excelencia, business advisor of Fundación e+e. In several occasions, he was granted the entrepreneur award and chosen as entrepreneur in ENDEAVOR and he is part of the Young Presidents' Organization.

At the age of 22, he founded FABOP laboratories, in the town of Arroyito, Córdoba Province. Nowadays, he is the President of VIRIXENE.[1]
