The International Relations Center (IRC; formerly the Interhemispheric Resource Center) is an American "policy studies institute" based in Silver City, New Mexico. It was founded in 1979 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, focusing initially on "The plight of undocumented Mexican workers and the impact of energy development on indigenous communities in the [American] Southwest".[citation needed]
The IRC's stated "mission" is working "to make the U.S. a more responsible member of the global community by promoting progressive strategic dialogues that lead to new citizen-based agendas."[citation needed]
The IRC Right Web provides dossiers on its political opponents.[citation needed]
