The International Yoga Sports Federation (IYSF) is the governing body of competitive five yoga sports disciplines, It was founded on october, 1989, in Montevideo, Uruguay.[4] [5] [6] Making it the world's oldest existing international yoga sports. The organisation was originallycalled : International Yogasanas Federation it changed the name to International Yoga Sports Federation. IYSF is a member of the International Yoga Federation [7].
The federation sets the rules known as the Code of Points, that regulate how the permance of a yogui performance is evaluated. Five yoga sports disciplines are governed by the IYSF: Artistic Yoga, Rhythmic Yoga, Acrobatic Yoga or AcroYoga, Athletic Yoga and Yoga Dance.[8]
