By Order of Publication:
The Forges of Dawn[edit]
The Forges of Dawn was published via Createspace on September 3rd, 2014. It follows Uhuru, who unknowingly carries the blood of two long dead legends: The evil sorcerer Mōbōr and his more valorous brother Tšatši. They have been long dead, but their influences last, and Tšatši's descendants, called the "Pale Ones" take it upon themselves to purge to land of darker pelted lions like Mōbōr, regardless if they've done any actual evil or not. They also hunt down traitors and deserts, and this brings them to Uhuru's pride's doorstep where they kill and kidnap the pride members. Uhuru is absent when it all happens, but finds out all the same, and begins her journey to rescue her family and take Vireka down.
Empires of Sand[edit]
Empires of Sand is a graphic novel in the Iron Lyons series that has yet to be published. It takes place before the evens of TFoD transpire.
Iron Lyons Book Sequel[edit]
A direct sequel to the first book, yet to be released.
Main Characters[edit]
Uhuru[edit]
Uhuru (swahili for "Freedom") is a lioness (or "lyonesse" in-universe) from a long line of magic-savvy lionesses called "The Red Queens" and the main character of the story. Her magical lineage is kept a secret by her family, however, and it isn't until the Pale Ones attack her home and kidnap her family that she begins to put some pieces together and eventually discover powers of her own. As the only one of her pride to escape capture, it falls to her to free them and take the pale ones down. She first appears in The Forges of Dawn and is set to appear in it's sequel.
Tarute[edit]
Tarute (Sanskrit for "Overcome") is a secondary-protagonist, and Uhuru's companion throughout the entirety of the book. Interestingly, he has few speaking roles throughout, as he is a monster almost the complete span of the book. He is Uhuru's love interest. He first appears in The Forges of Dawn and is set to appear in it's sequel.
Vireka[edit]
Vireka (Sanskrit for "Emptying") is the main antagonist of the book, an evil white lion with magical abilities like Uhuru. He leads the Pale Ones as their lord and is vain, greedy, and cruel to foe and friend alike. He makes his first appearance in The Forges of Dawn.
Yu Song[edit]
Yu Song (Chinese for Frost)is the sub-antagonist of the book's second part, and a Tiger as well as a Pirate. He assists Uhuru and Tarute when they break out of jail, but has motives of his own involving Uhuru and the magical beads she wears around her wrist. He makes his first appearance in The Forges of Dawn and is set to be the main antagonists in it's sequel.
Iron Lyons Universe[edit]
The Iron Lyons universe encompasses the whole world, but focuses mainly on Afriik (Africa) and Endia (India). It features animals that have gone exinct in reality, such as smilodons and mammoths.
