Islamunity

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Islamunity is an Islamic Organization & Campaign started in May 2009, by Fadi Zaki and Hamid. Hamid invited Muhammad Aslam al Hindi to take the Islamunity campaign further ahead.

Main Objectives of Formation

Islamunity was formed with numerous aims in mind:

  • To present the most accurate form of Islam to the world through comparative study of all the sects.
  • To form a basis of unity among all the Islamic organizations.
  • To make the Islamic organizations much stronger and influential through mutual co-ordination and prompt knowledge sharing.
  • To gather the Ummah on the basis of Qur'an and Hadith and remove all artificial information being presented in the name of Islam.
  • To interact with the outside world so that the interfaith issues can be discussed with them to prevent violence emerging out of sheer misunderstanding.
  • To spread Islamic knowledge as much as possible through the most possible ways.

Philosophy

Islamunity feels that all the sects of Islam have something special which they have preserved from the sunnah and moreover the basis under is the same within all. Meanwhile, they have introduced something bid'at as well. It is mainly due to the 'To err is human' tendency. Islamunity feels that even it commits mistakes, but these mistakes should not be made an issue of fight, rather they should be resolved in the light of Qur'an and Hadith.

SMS Channel

Islamunity offers free Islamic news and web updates through SMS. Only within India at present, messages are offered in 3 languages - English, Hindi & Urdu.

Official Website

Initially, Islamunity started under the domain of islam.hamsn.com and later it was extended to islamunity.hamsn.com. But as the Campaign received positive feedback from around the world, it was then later established as Islamunity.ORG and is currently operated under the same. Meanwhile, the former domain islamunity.hamsn.com is still functional. [1] [2]
