Ismail Hussain (born 16 January 2002) is a British nasheed singer and naat reciter. He performs in English, Urdu, Punjabi and Arabic language.[1]
Early life and education[edit]
Ismail was born to a British-Pakistani family in Bradford, UK on 16 January 2002. His parents are Khalid Hussain and Amreen Akhtar.[2]
Hussain started school at Dixons Kings Academy and later attended Dixons Allerton Academy in Bradford. Currently, he is studying at Leeds Beckett University at Leeds.[1]
Career[edit]
Ismail started his career as a nasheed faith singer at age of 5 singing in local mosques. He said that his father helped him the most and took him to events. He released his first Urdu/Punjabi album titled, Lajpaal Nabi Meray at the age of 12 which consisted of 8 tracks, having sales over 1K CDs. Hussain performs both nasheed singing and naat reciting. He has over 13.6K followers on Instagram, 50K followers on Facebook and 15K subscribers on YouTube.
Performances[edit]
In 2015, he performed at his first tour in South Africa. He has performed in United Kingdom's cities like London, Birmingham and Manchester. Besides this, he also performed in Europe, Mauritius, Pakistan and Kuwait.[1]
