Isomag, Corp. is a privately owned US company founded in 1994, that manufactures flat face rotary seals.[1]Isomag's designs utilize controlled magnetic energy to provide liquid tight sealing. Isomag seals are applied on rotary equipment lubrication systems to prevent emissions and exclude contaminants.

Today, rotary and centrifugal machinery need to operate bearing lubrication systems free from external contaminants. Isomag bearing seals are applied in fleet and payload applications on every continent and are considered one of the prominent players in the global bearing isolator market.[2] Isomag’s approach to bearing protection combines flat-face sealing and magnetic energy that creates a positive seal.[3]

Heinz P. Bloch, a mechanical engineer who specializes in failure avoidance, machinery reliability improvement, and machinery maintenance cost reduction, states that hermetic sealing of bearing housings on centrifugal machinery optimally extends the life of lubricants and bearings. Magnetic positive seals, like Isomag bearing seals, prevent airborne dust, water in liquid or vapor form, from entering a bearing housing, and contaminating the lubricant. [4]
