Istvan Szil
Istvan Szil (born 1961, Dombovar, Hungary) is a visual artist who lives and works in New York City under various pseudonyms, e.g., Istvan Szili,[1] Istvan Szilasi.,[2] crossingthetsdottingtheis.[3]
He is one of the founders of the Ujlak Group[4][5](1989–1995) in Budapest . The group became known for its art movement based on independent (found) art spaces, collective and individual art processes and site-specific works. His recent art work focuses on creating public awareness of local/global economic issues, the effect of industrial processes and the urban environment,.[6][7][citation needed]
