Italia Guitar Straps is a US-based guitar strap and bass strap manufacturing company located in Marina, California. The company was founded by owner Michael Salerno in 2003, based on a model of selling direct to customers. The company has been on the world wide web since 2004 [1]

The company's staff design, manufacture, and ship the products from their production facility in Marina. Since inception each strap unit has been produced individually on a build to order basis. The proprietary strap design incorporates layers of Italian leather and suede produced from Nappa leather for the backing. The products incorporate a no-hardware design (no metal buckles or plastic sliders) to reduce discomfort and eliminate the possibility of damage to instruments.

The company carries no warehouse inventory and does not distribute its product to wholesalers or music stores. The company focuses on the idea of core competency and does not manufacture private label guitar straps for other companies or produce any other type of musical accessory. All sales of the company's product are conducted through the company website/online store.

Customers include Grace Potter and the Nocturnals,[2] Byron Santo, Alan Davey, Patricia Britton, Anthony Way, Pete Lombardo, Jimmy Dormire, Luca Sirianni, James Hart and Jay Turner.[citation needed] Italia guitar straps are also used by Derek Jones, the bassist for KÀ by Cirque du Soleil[3]

Italia Guitar Straps is a member of The Guitar Foundation of America
