James Daniel "J.D." Scott is a host for HGTV. He has also worked as a celebrity impersonator, actor, and content producer for Scott Brothers Entertainment. He frequently collaborates with his twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott of Property Brothers fame. He resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Early life[edit]
Scott was born on May 27, 1976 in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is the oldest child of parents James and Joanne Scott. Prior to his birth, Joanne had worked as a paralegal in downtown Vancouver.[1] James emigrated from Scotland as a teenager, and had dreams of being a cowboy as he had seen on television.[2] He worked in the film industry as an actor, stuntman, and assistant director until the late 1990s.[2] It was around that time when he decided to focus on raising his family,[2][3] and they moved to a horse farm in the nearby town of Maple Ridge.[4] As a teen, J.D. belong to a comedy troupe called YFD.[5]
He attended Thomas Haney Secondary School, graduating in 1994.[6] Sometime after he graduated, the family moved into their newly built home.[7]
Career[edit]
When Jonathan and his wife relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, he convinced J.D. to come with them.[8] J.D. found work as a blackjack dealer and celebrity impersonator, performing as Adam Lambert and David Bowie.[9][6]
Radio[edit]
The brothers also did a 13-week, 60-minute lifestyle radio series called Off Topic with the Scott Brothers, which aired on Corus Radio.[10]
Personal life[edit]
J.D. is in a relationship with make-up artist and model Annalee Belle since March 2015.[9] She sometimes works as makeup artist for Scott Brothers Entertainment.[citation needed] They live together in Las Vegas.[citation needed]
