James K. Williams (born April 6, 1989), better known by his stage name JB, is a Liberian rapper.[1] He made an entrance onto the Liberian music scene as a member of the music duo Soul Fresh. In 2014, JB was announced as a member of the Hipco Accountability Network, an organization that strengthens copyright laws and establishes minimum play laws in Liberia.[2]
Biography and music career
JB was born in Bong County and raised in Monrovia. After the release of the single "Monrovia Scatter," he found mainstream success as an independent artist.[1]
China
During Soul Fresh's tour of China, it was reported that JB and Shinning Man were imprisoned[3]. According to the online website Liberianentertainment.com, the duo were jailed after accessing their Facebook accounts. However, JB refuted reports and described them as false and misleading.[4]
