Jehan Dorab "JD" Madan (born 1976) is an Indian para table-tennis player (wheelchair Class 1[1]) and a former national motor-racing champion. He won the men’s singles Class 1 gold medal at the 2025 Khelo India Para Games and has collected multiple international medals on the ITTF Para circuit.[2] Before a 2007 road accident left him paralysed, Madan captured the Esteem category title at the 2003 JK Tyre National Racing Championship.[3]
Early life and motor-racing career
Madan grew up in Chennai and began circuit racing in his early twenties. Driving a Maruti Esteem, he clinched the overall title in the category at the 2003 JK Tyre National Racing Championship held at the Madras Motor Sports Club.[3] In 2007 a road crash resulted in a C5-C6 spinal-cord injury and permanent paraplegia.[2]

Rankings
As of the 2 July 2025 ITTF wheelchair rankings, Madan is world No. 22 in men’s Class 1 singles and No. 2 in India.[15]
Personal life
Madan is an alumnus of Loyola College, Chennai. He runs adaptive-driving workshops and frequently speaks at rehabilitation centres for spinal-injury survivors.[2]
