Jade Sacker
Jade Sacker is an independent documentary filmmaker of Native American and Russian descent, based in Los Angeles, California.[1] She has worked on a freelance basis with CNBC and NPR in the past, but is not currently affiliated with any news organization.[2]
She is well known for documenting the storming of the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, alongside John Sullivan, who filmed the death of Ashli Babbitt inside the Capitol building. Sacker did not witness this, as Sullivan had separated from her at this point. This was part of a documentary on Sullivan and his brother James, each of whom have radically different political views.[2]
She appeared alongside Sullivan on Anderson Cooper 360 to discuss the footage. CNN spokesperson Matt Dornic said that Sacker was interviewed as a witness to the events at the Capitol.[2]
