Jagan Nath University, Jaipur, Village Rampura, Tehsil Chaksu, Jaipur (Rajasthan) is a co-educational, residential, private university founded in 2008 in Rajasthan.[1] H. L. Verma is Vice-Chancellor of the University.[2] The main campus of the university is located in the rural belt.
History[edit]
The University has been established & promoted by Jagannath Gupta Memorial Education Society, a registered non-profit organization, established in 1993.
The university has set up an Institutional Incubation centre to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship in the students. Jagannath University is also the local chapter of SWAYAM an Indian Massive open online course (MOOC) platform.[3] SWAYAM is an initiative launched by the then Ministry of Human Resource Development (now Ministry of Education), Government of India under Digital India. UGC has approved the University after submission of compliance.[4]
Programs[edit]
The university offers Under-graduate, Diploma, Post-graduate, and Doctoral programs are offered in various streams such as engineering, management, law, architecture and planning, pharmacy, education, basic science, physiotherapy, computer applications and commerce.[5]
Accreditation[edit]
Jagan Nath University is a set up under the Rajasthan Private Universities Act, 2008.[6]
