Jaiden J. Smith (born June 16, 2008) is an American actor and former model. He gained attention for his role as Bo in Spirit Halloween: The Movie (2022) and has appeared in television series such as Law & Order: SVU and Difficult People.
Early life
Smith was born on June 16, 2008, and is the middle of three siblings. He began modeling at age five, appearing in print campaigns for brands including Saks, J.Crew, The Gap, Appaman, Target, and Bloomingdale's, before transitioning into acting through television commercials.
Career
Film
In 2022, Smith starred as Bo in the supernatural family adventure Spirit Halloween: The Movie. In an interview with Hollywood Soapbox, he shared that he had always been a fan of Halloween and enjoyed the opportunity to film inside a real Spirit Halloween store, describing it as helping him "fully immerse" in the experience.[1] The review site Elements of Madness also highlighted his performance, mentioning him by name and noting his character's emotional journey.[2]
Smith also features as Jake Morse in the upcoming science fiction film The Mothership, which remains unreleased.
Television
Smith made his television debut as Dax Hilton in Hulu's original series Difficult People (2015). He later guest-starred as Tesso Carter on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2016) and appeared as Trevor Wilson on Blue Bloods. He also portrayed Ramone in the Lifetime movie Faith Under Fire (2018), starring Toni Braxton, and played Rex on CW's Two Sentence Horror Stories in 2019.
