James Krivchenia (born December 8, 1988) is an American musician, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is best known as the drummer of Big Thief, with whom he has recorded and released four studio albums. In addition to playing drums, Krivchenia produced Big Thief's fifth studio album Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You, which was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards[1]. Krivchenia has also released experimental records under his own name since 2016.[2] In 2022, Krivchenia contributed to "High Infidelity", a song off Taylor Swift's album Midnights.[3]
