James Smith (cricketer, born 1988)
James David Smith (born 11 October 1988) is an Australian cricketer. He is a right hand bat and a right arm off spinner.
Smith was born in Murray Bridge, South Australia and plays for the Australia U19s and South Australia. His shirt number is 19.
Smith has been a prolific run-scorer at grade level in South Australia for several seasons, averaging 54.00 in the SACA A Grade Competition in 2011/12. Smith is also a handy right arm off spin bowler with a knack of taking wickets in clutch situations. Smith's younger brother Kelvin has followed in his elder brother's footsteps with outstanding performances at under-age national competitions and is widely seen to be a player of the future for South Australia.
