Jane.ai, formerly known as Ai Software, is an artificial intelligence company headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. They are the creators of Jane, a corporate virtual assistant that allows employees to access their company's information through conversational interfaces like Slack.[1]
History[edit]
Jane.ai was founded in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2017 by entrepreneurs David Karandish and Chris Sims, and is backed by a network of Midwest investors.[2]

How Jane works[edit]
Jane learns information from cloud-based applications, documents, and websites, and makes it accessible to users through existing communication systems such as Slack, SMS, web, or email. If an inquiry is asked that Jane does not yet know, she routes it to a "CoPilot" who works at the company, thereby building a Knowledge Base of the company's tribal knowledge.[4]
