Jane Yamamoto has been a general assignment reporter at KTTV Fox 11 in Los Angeles since 1996. Prior to KTTV, she worked as an anchor/reporter at WCMH in Columbus, Ohio. She has also reported for KRCR-TV in Redding, California. Yamamoto is of Japanese descent and often volunteers in many cultural festivals and charities. She graduated from the University of California Los Angeles with a degree in Communications Studies. Yamamoto was also a member of the UCLA women's golf team.
Yamamoto appeared in the music videos for Eminem's "Stan" and Dr. Dre's "Forgot About Dre" featuring Eminem. She also appeared at Dr. Dre's Up in Smoke Tour, and the movie Carmen: A Hip Hopera as a reporter in both. She also took part in the last episode of the first season of 24. She can be seen at the end of the episode, announcing that Jack Bauer "is responsible for saving Palmer" twice during the day.
Jane has also appeared on several episodes of The Sarah Silverman Program as herself.
She also appears in season 4, in the 20th episode of Prison Break.
Currently reports for KNBC Channel 4 Los Angeles.
