Jasmine Yang (born 1994), formerly named as Jeffrey Yang & Jeff Yang, is an Australian writer, voice actress, director, and the general manager at Glitch Productions.

At her time working at Glitch, She was a writer for SMG4 and Meta Runner, as well as the head writer and VA director for Sunset Paradise.

History

College & Early Years

Before applying for Glitch, Yang was a business graduate from the University of New South Wales with [promotion?] a knack for writing and a zest for marketing. Yang was also attracted to fast paced jobs and opportunities to make a difference funding.[1]

After graduating from college, Yang first worked as waiter and cook, and then worked for several companies (Newspoll, Westfield Group, Halogen Foundation, GradReady Pty. Ltd, PresMed Australia, Coles Supermarkets).[2]

Glitch Productions

In January 2019, Yang was hired as a Chief Operations Officer, Head of Product, and Development Producer at Glitch Productions, as working as a writer, line producer and voice actor for several of their shows.

She is also the voice actor of the Goose and Mario Head in SMG4, and is also the voice for Mayora Bora, Duke, Russet & the Lighthouse Keeper in Sunset Paradise.

Controversy

Yang backed up by stating that she forgot to notify Celeste Notley-Smith when she claimed that she was not made aware of this change. After being informed by David J.G. Doyle of this event, Robyn Barry-Cotter expressed disapproval toward the company and immediately announced her resignation from the company and the voice role of SMG2 as a result.

Barry-Cotter proceeded to upload a video criticizing the actions of Glitch Productions to her YouTube channel, Anime America, the following day. She did also say that she loved the time she did voice SMG2. Eventually, Doyle would also come forward to criticize Glitch Productions on X, and later cut off ties with Glitch afterwards.

Celeste later revealed because, according to Yang, she believed Notley-Smith was not as available as they needed despite her never missing a single deadline barring possibly a few times during quarantine (and even then Celeste said she was mostly available).

Personal Life

In 2021, Yang revealed on Twitter and Instagram, that she came out as a trans female, as she is one of the openly LGBTQ staff members of the Glitch team.[‡ 1][‡ 2]
