Summary
The human species were wiped out after an explosion that was caused by a core meltdown. After this explosion, robots, or 'Worker Drones' took over, making a civilization similar to the human civilization prior. Their parent company, JC Jenson in SPAAAACE!!!!, a spoof of SC Johnson, does not like 'runaway AI', so they created different robots, which are Murder/Dissembly Drones, to kill the other worker drones.[3] Uzi, an edgy teen worker drone, makes a railgun to try and stop the Murder Drones from destroying more of their underground civilization. She then attempts to get out of the underground to try to stop a murder drone, but she is stopped by her father a door worker for the underground civilization, who asks where she is going. She attempts to pass using an excuse, but is caught. Afterward, she needs to measure the hydraulics for Door #1 for her school project. Her father lets her pass and gives her a wrench, explaining how the wrench was used to do 2 things. After searching for some time, she finds a Murder Drone. It stabs her hand with nanite acid. After shooting the murder drone with the railgun, the murder drone reforms its head while displaying an error. Uzi grabs an arm on the ground from a dead worker drone and slaps the murder drone. After that the murder drone then tells Uzi that they are Serial Designation N, a murder drone sent by JC Jenson.[4]

| In the first episode of Murder Drones, Uzi presents a slideshow and railgun to her apathetic peers and teacher, but the railgun malfunctions and causes an explosion. After talking to Thad about her plan to sneak into the Corpse House and find a part for her railgun, Uzi steals the Master Door Key from her father and goes on a dangerous mission. There, she encounters Serial Designation N, a Murder Drone who mistakenly takes her for a new member of his squad. After N and his team try to kill the workers, Uzi teams up with N to defeat the two Murder Drones. However, Uzi banishes herself from the colony and is seen laughing maniacally with her eyes flickering yellow as the episode ends. | ||||||

| In the second episode, N meets Serial Designation V in an unknown mansion, and they accidentally touch hands, a spark exchanging between them, but J cuts in before anything further can happen. Later, N awakens from slumber and questions Uzi about the plan to kill all humans. V taunts Uzi about her story, and N tries to stop them from fighting, but Uzi proclaims that she is God. Meanwhile, a worker is assigned to fix the hole in the roof caused by N's departure, but a heart-like device creates a massive creature that assimilates several drones. Khan attends a parent-teacher conference and learns that Uzi has been absent for some time. Later, Uzi, N, and Thad investigate the room they fought J and V in and discover that "Absolute Solver" is a backup program that activates when Disassemblers lack material mass to reconstitute their forms in the event of damage. The creature reveals that it is trying to repair J and that drones are “puppets” to it. The solver attempts to assimilate Uzi, but N comes in and saves her. However, Uzi becomes shaken by the events she has seen and distrusts N. As the episode progresses, Doll is seen holding a piece of paper, and a robot cockroach runs up her arm. There is also a flashback to a scene with Lizzy and Doll. | ||||||

| In the third episode of Murder Drones, the opening scene shows a female student being chased by Doll, who catches up to her and kills her using the AbsoluteSolver and a cleaver. Later, Doll comes home, crosses Kelsey's name off a list, and her bag is shown to be full of oil, possibly Kelsey's corpse. As the camera pans out, the audience sees a swarm of cockroaches crawling on the walls. The episode then shifts to Uzi, who is still struggling with guilt over refusing Serial Designation N's help in their battle with Eldritch J. Uzi's room is a mess, and she still holds on to a drawing of herself and N. In class, Uzi is bullied by Rebecca and another worker drone, and she begins to suspect that something is amiss when she sees the security cameras glitching. She also sees missing posters and takes some of them to put on her ceiling back home, only to find them missing. Khan reveals that he got the posters and that he and Uzi's teacher arranged for Lizzy and Doll to help Uzi prepare for prom, and Khan himself is chaperoning. The episode then cuts to N and V, who are in a pod together. N feels guilty, while V is focused on her plan to show up at prom and kill everyone, including Uzi. N refuses to help V, and V promises to only kill what they need to survive if N and Uzi stopped trying to investigate their past. Finally, Uzi, Lizzy, and Doll find themselves in Doll's house, where Doll tells Uzi that the bathroom is down the hall to the left. | ||||||

| In this episode, Uzi and her classmates embark on a field trip to the camp. Uzi wears a collar with a skull pattern, and a flashback reveals that the collar has significance from her past involving Disassembly Drones. At the camp, V and N, two ominous figures, arrive to supervise the class. N introduces distracting activities, warning the students not to wander off. Uzi communicates through sign language to escape the group, and she stumbles upon a cabin where she encounters strange occurrences involving reflections and robotic bugs. Back at the campsite, chaos ensues when a drone accidentally shoots an arrow at Uzi, prompting her to use her abilities to stop it. The arrow transforms into an organic being, terrifying everyone. V becomes aggressive towards Uzi, leading her to seek refuge in a second cabin. The lights inside the cabin seem to affect Uzi negatively, and she encounters more bizarre transformations involving the oil-like substance. The situation escalates when N becomes suspicious of V's lack of information and leaves the camp. More campers fall victim to Uzi's attacks until she undergoes a transformation resembling the Disassembly Drones. Uzi faces off with V, but N intervenes and sacrifices himself to stop Uzi. He reverts her to her original form, and the survivors leave the camp on the bus as the sun rises. Throughout the episode, there are mysterious VHS tapes that depict "ZOMBIE DRONES!" and an unknown drone with a black hole-like entity. The episode concludes with N's concerned expression and a focus on the VHS tapes as the sun shines brightly. | ||||||

| In this episode, the story follows a series of mysterious events at Elliot Manor. It begins with a JCJenson training VHS tape on Disassembly Drones, but the tape gets interrupted by a pile of dead drones and a frightened worker drone. Inside the manor, N is reading about dogs while V stands motionless nearby. Strange thumping noises lead N to investigate the basement, but he disregards it and continues his duties. N meets Cyn, another worker drone, and they discuss the upcoming gala. N agrees to ask Tessa, the owner of the manor, if they can attend. However, eerie messages start appearing, warning N about the spooky basement. N is blamed for Cyn's actions, and he is taken outside where a crow pecks at him. Remembering the message, N shouts a name, leading to a bizarre transformation of the crow. Meanwhile, in the present, Khan enters Uzi's room, and N and V are motionless on the ground. Uzi confronts her father and locks him out using the Absolute Solver. Back in the past, Tessa is held captive in her room by J, who is under orders not to let her out. Cyn warns Tessa that if she doesn't get rid of them, she won't spare her. Tessa and J prepare to stop Cyn from causing harm at the gala. N, Raven Uzi, and Tessa meet in the manor and head towards the basement to stop Cyn. However, V attacks them, and they split up. Raven Uzi and N discover a mutilated N in the basement, and they attempt to leave but are interrupted by a loud thumping sound. Back in the present, Uzi faces off against Doll, and N tries to intervene. In the past, Cyn takes control of the drones and causes a massacre at the gala, with J and Tessa trying to stop her. Meanwhile, N is in danger of losing his memories, but Uzi regains control of the Eldritch and saves him and V. Doll teleports outside and meets J and Tessa, seeking the key to the basement. Uzi, N, and V confront them, leading to a tense standoff. The episode concludes with the group ready to face each other, setting the stage for a confrontation in the next installment. | ||||||

Production
Liam Vickers had previously achieved notoriety for the 2D animated series CliffSide and Internecion Cube, both of which are unfinished. When he was picked up by Glitch Productions to be a showrunner, he had no experience in 3D animation, so the company would train him. This series was inspired from 20th Century Studios film franchise, Alien created by Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett and would be created in Unreal Engine but unlike Meta Runner and Sunset Paradise, the show will last 8 episodes, including the pilot, and pushes into darker territory while making it more photorealistic than their previous works.[6]
On August 6th, Liam released the full version of "Disassembly Required", the song that plays in the teaser. The video description reveals the character seen in the teaser to be "V", one of the titular Murder Drones. By the time the series was announced, it had been worked on for one year til February 18th, 2022 when Glitch Productions announced the full series is in development now at the studio and will be released later next year.[7]
