Shedrack Eyinmisan Amejuma (born (1997-10-15)October 15, 1997) popularly known by his stage name Jayson Wayne or simply Jayson, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, producer, performer and dancer.[1] He is a descendant of Delta state. He was born in Sapele, Delta State, Nigeria.

Early life and beginnings

Born Shedrack Eyinmisan Amejuma is a descendant of Delta State. He was born in Delta State. He grew up in several parts of the country including Sapele, Warri and Lagos due to the fact that his father was a member of the Political PDP.[2] At the age of 19, Jayson Wayne was enrolled in a music school where he learnt and mastered the rudiments of playing the piano and guitar.[2]

Career

Jayson Wayne was first signed under K-Money Entertainment. His first single titled "Diana" was released under the imprint. With featured vocals from Tekno, "Diana" was positively accepted and gained massive airplay.[3]

Jayson Wayne has listed acts like Danfo Drivers, Zulezu, Oritse Femi, 2face Idibia, 9ice, W4, Wande Coal, Owl City and Ed Sheeran as musical influences.[citation needed] Jayson Wayne lost his father on May 28, 2016.[4]
