Jazwares, Inc. is an American toy manufacturing company founded by Judd Zebersky in 1997, and since 2016, is a subsidiary of Alleghany Corporation.
The company is best known for obtaining licenses and releasing toylines for popular video game and television franchises.
History[edit]
In 2014, Jazwares lost the license to Sonic the Hedgehog from Takara Tomy which would coincide with the Sonic Boom line.[1] That same year, Alleghany Capital Corporation purchased an initial stake in the company.[2]
In 2016, Alleghany’s stake raised to a majority ownership.[3]
In 2019, Jazwares made their first company acquisition when they acquired Wicked Cool Toys Holdings, LLC.[4][5][6] One year later in 2020, they would go on to make their second acquisition with Kelly Toys Holdings, LLC.[7]
