On September 29, 2022, Trebek attended the inaugural Jeopardy! Honors event to present the inaugural Alex Trebek Person of the Year award to James Holzhauer and his wife Melissa and to accept her late husband Alex Trebek's Jeopardy! Hall of Fame award on his behalf.[8]

In November 2023, Trebek, alongside television personality Katie Couric (who served as a guest host on Jeopardy! in March 2021 following Alex Trebek's death[9]) launched "The Alex Trebek Fund" in her husband's honor in partnership with Stand Up to Cancer, to support scientists working on improving screening and treatment options for pancreatic cancer.[10]
