Jeetendr Sehdev is a British-American professor, media personality and celebrity branding expert.[2][3][4] He currently lectures on marketing at USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and appears frequently in media outlets worldwide to comment on celebrity branding.

Early life and education[edit]

Sehdev was born in England and attended an all-boys independent school.[5][better source needed]

He received a BSc in Pharmacology from Bristol University and a Master's degree in Modern History from Oxford University. Sehdev then worked in both investment banking and management consulting prior to attending Harvard University where he earned his MBA in 2004.[6]

Career[edit]

Sehdev has held executive roles at several of the leading advertising agencies, including Partner and Director at Ogilvy & Mather and Group Planning Director at TBWA\Chiat\Day. He also served as Chief Marketing Officer of Belkin International.[7]

Sehdev is the creator of the JAAM Index, a tool for measuring celebrity influence.[8]

He is a contributor to Forbes,[9] Adweek,[10] Fast Company,[11] and The Guardian.[12] His television appearances have included those on The Today Show,[13] Access Hollywood,[14] The Insider, CNN,[15] CBS,[16] Bloomberg News,[17] Al Jazeera,[18] and Fox.[19]

He is the author of the forthcoming book The Kim Kardashian Principle (St. Martin’s Press, March 21, 2017).[20] The UK and Commonwealth publishing rights have been purchased by Piatkus.[21]

In 2013, Forbes named him one of the real Mad Men of L.A.[22]
